Our Story

Founded in 2004 by Luma Mufleh, Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School began as an all-refugee boys' soccer team. Recognizing the academic challenges faced by players, the initiative evolved into a tutoring program, summer camp, and ultimately a school. Today, GFACS serves students from nearly 40 countries, focusing on English language acquisition and a culturally relevant curriculum.
