Our Story

In May 2020, a dedicated group of equity-focused educators and alumni from Gwinnett County Public Schools united to form Gwinnett Educators for Equity and Justice. This grassroots movement emerged to advocate for educational equity, ensuring that Black educators and students are not marginalized due to their intersectionality. Founded in April 2021, the organization aims to provide critical insights into the challenges faced by Black public education stakeholders.

Our Impact

GAEEJ is committed to enhancing the self-efficacy of Black K-12 educators through health and wellness programs, community resources, and advocacy for racial and educational equity as a fundamental civil right.
