Our Story

The Georgia-Alabama Land Trust, known as GALT, was formed in 2015 through the merger of the Coastal Georgia Land Trust and the Chattowah Open Land Trust. With roots dating back to 1993, GALT has grown to become the largest regional land trust in the Southeast, safeguarding nearly 1,300 conservation properties across over 478,000 acres.
