The Society of Tympanuchus Cupido Pinnatus (STCP) was established in Wisconsin in 1961 by passionate conservationists committed to preserving the prairie-chicken. Over the years, the organization has expanded its mission to include the protection of other threatened and endangered species.

STCP has successfully raised private funds to acquire and safeguard over 17,000 acres of vital grassland reserves in Wisconsin, playing a crucial role in the preservation of prairie-chickens and other wildlife.
