Our Story

The George Biddle Kelley Education Foundation is dedicated to empowering at-risk communities by providing essential resources, advocacy, and programs. Named after George Biddle Kelley, the first African-American engineer registered in New York State, the Foundation collaborates with local and national organizations to promote educational initiatives. Through scholarships, college bus tours, and workshops, the Foundation fosters responsibility, leadership, and entrepreneurship among youth.

Impact

Over the past 50 years, the Foundation has awarded tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships through the Alpha Phi Alpha 'Go to High School, Go to College' Program. Many recipients have achieved academic excellence at prestigious institutions, including Harvard and Princeton, showcasing the transformative power of education.
