Our Story

GenUnity was founded by Jerren Chang and Nimisha Ganesh, who, as children of immigrants, recognized the barriers to civic engagement that hinder community voices. After three years of collaboration with community members and civic experts, GenUnity emerged as a solution to empower individuals to address pressing issues like housing displacement, health disparities, and malnutrition.

Our Impact

With a focus on community-centered change, GenUnity has supported over 200 leaders in advocating for new legislation and transforming organizational cultures. The organization equips everyday adults with essential skills to navigate and drive change on issues that matter most to them.
