Our Story
Genesis of Pittsburgh was established in November 1973 as a hotline service for women facing unplanned pregnancies. In 1978, the first center opened, offering counseling and free pregnancy testing. Recognizing the need for housing, Genesis House was launched in 1983, providing shelter and support. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to include adoption, foster care, clothing distribution, and educational programs for expectant parents, serving multiple locations in Pittsburgh and Washington County.
