Ending Chronic Homelessness Among Women Veterans

Our Story

Genesis Joy House Homeless Shelter was founded by Dr. Margaret Queen-Flowers, who has dedicated her life to serving the homeless since her childhood. Inspired by her grandmother's commitment to helping others, Margaret established this nonprofit to provide a safe haven for homeless female veterans in Warner Robins, Georgia. With the support of her husband, Edward Flowers, III, they transformed a donated property into a transitional housing facility that can accommodate up to eight women veterans and their minor children.

Our Impact

Genesis Joy House is committed to improving the quality of life for unhoused female veterans through proven programs that foster self-sufficiency and accountability.
