Our Story

Founded in 2011 by Susan Kelly and Terese O’Connell, Generous Gardeners began as a plant donation and swapping website. Over the years, it has transformed into a dedicated group of volunteers committed to philanthropy through gardening. In 2014, the organization was reincorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, focusing on beautifying public spaces in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
