Our Story
The Gender and Radiation Impact Project (GRIP) was established to address the alarming findings that women are disproportionately affected by radiation exposure. This initiative emerged from critical analyses of reports from the National Academy of Sciences and the World Health Organization, particularly following the Fukushima disaster. GRIP is dedicated to educating the public, advocating for essential policy changes, and conducting research that emphasizes the gender-specific impacts of radiation exposure on women and children.
