Gbarnga Mission

Our Story

Founded by members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Providence, RI, Gbarnga Lutheran Mission Project, Inc. was established to support Liberia, a country deeply affected by civil war. After a transformative visit by Pastor Leon Schultz in 2011, the need for Christian schools became evident, leading to the creation of the Gbarnga Lutheran Training Center (GLTC) in Deanville.

Dedicated to improving lives, Gbarnga Mission focuses on education and community development. Initiatives include constructing schools, providing clean water, and implementing health education programs, significantly enhancing the quality of life for families in rural Liberia.
