Our Story

Gathering Waters was established in 1994 to assist land trusts across Wisconsin. The initiative began at the first Wisconsin Land Trust Conference in 1988, where conservation organizations recognized the need for a permanent statewide network. Over the years, Gathering Waters has expanded its support to over 40 land trusts, offering technical assistance, training, and advocacy for land protection.
