Eden Village

Our Story

In the fall of 2010, ten dedicated individuals from a local church came together to form The Gathering Tree in Springfield, Missouri. This organization was established to serve the city’s homeless population by providing a safe place to rest and refresh multiple nights a week. Recognizing the need for long-term solutions, The Gathering Tree transitioned to creating Eden Village, a permanent supportive housing community for the chronically homeless, which opened its first site in August 2018.

Impact

Eden Village has successfully housed chronically homeless individuals, contributing to a 14% reduction in Springfield's homeless population. This innovative model has gained national recognition as a replicable solution to homelessness.
