Our Story
The Galveston Island Tree Conservancy was established in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Ike in 2008, leading to significant tree loss on Galveston Island. The organization is dedicated to replanting and caring for trees, fostering connections between residents and their environment.

With over 54 blocks of Historic Broadway Esplanades replanted, the Conservancy has initiated various programs to educate the community about the importance of trees, contributing to the restoration of Galveston's urban forest.
