Founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Lynn Nigliazzo, Galveston Ballet began as a vision to provide advanced classical ballet instruction for her daughter, Caryn. What started at the Studio I Dance Company has blossomed into a vibrant community of over 100 young dancers. The mission is to enrich the cultural landscape of Galveston by offering students the chance to perform and learn the art of ballet.
Galveston Ballet provides invaluable opportunities for young people in Galveston County to engage in the discipline and beauty of ballet. Through annual performances of classical and contemporary works, the organization enhances the cultural life of the community.
