Gaining Ground grows organic produce for hunger relief with the help of volunteers of all ages and abilities. This simple yet powerful approach allows the organization to focus on meeting the needs of both volunteers and those they serve. By cultivating high-quality produce, Gaining Ground ensures that food is given away for free to those in need, creating a sustainable cycle of support.

Impact

Throughout the harvest season, Gaining Ground’s farm supplies food pantries, meal programs, and shelters in Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts. Most of the produce is distributed within 20 miles of the farm and within 24 hours of harvest, ensuring freshness and quality.
