Our Story

Founded in 2012, Furniture Friends believes that everyone deserves a safe and comfortable home. This organization provides donated furniture to individuals and families in need throughout Greater Portland, partnering with over 120 local social service providers to identify those who lack the financial resources to furnish their homes.

Impact

In 2019, Furniture Friends served over 550 households, helping them create new homes and begin rebuilding their lives. The organization restores dignity to veterans, supports the homeless, aids families fleeing conflict, and provides comfort to those with chronic illnesses.
