Our Story
Full Circle Foundation was established in 2009 within the Grosse Pointe Public School System to address a pressing need: providing affordable, upscale prom dresses and blazers to local high school students. For just $5 to $15, students could find their dream attire in the Performing Arts lobby at Grosse Pointe North High School. The overwhelming success of this initiative led to the expansion of offerings, as organizers were encouraged to return week after week. What began as a weekend project has blossomed into a 14-year legacy of support and empowerment.
Growth and Expansion
As demand grew, co-founder Mary Fodell, a retired art teacher and mother of a daughter with special needs, opened the Full Circle Upscale Resale Shop in Grosse Pointe Park. The shop expanded its offerings to include upscale women’s clothing, suits, ties, hats, shoes, and accessories. Over the years, Full Circle has moved to larger locations, currently situated at Mack and Harvard in Grosse Pointe Park.
Empowering Young Adults
Full Circle Foundation has also introduced microenterprise services, such as shredding, online selling, laundry services, and the Edible Garden. These initiatives provide young adults with special needs opportunities to learn valuable skills and engage with the community. The TEAM 26 program supports those who have graduated or aged out of the school system, helping them maintain and develop new skills.
