Transforming Lives: The Story of Child Advocates of Fort Bend

For over three decades, Child Advocates of Fort Bend has been a beacon of hope for children suffering from abuse and neglect in Fort Bend County, Texas. Founded in 1991 by a group of passionate volunteers, this organization has grown from serving one child to impacting the lives of nearly 19,000 children. The establishment of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program marked a significant milestone, providing a voice for children in foster care and ensuring their best interests are prioritized.

In 1996, the opening of the Children’s Advocacy Center expanded the organization’s reach, offering critical services to children who are victims of severe abuse. Today, Child Advocates of Fort Bend serves over 400 children each month, thanks to the dedication of 1,277 trained volunteers and collaboration with 40 partner agencies.
