Our Story

FrontLine Farming (FLF) was established in December 2018 by a collective of farmers, advocates, and educators who are people of color and womxn. Recognizing the need for food-based advocacy in Denver, FLF aims to elevate and center the voices and experiences of oppressed communities. Emerging from Urbiculture Community Farms, which has been committed to providing affordable food since 2007, FLF continues to expand its mission through innovative programs and partnerships.

With a focus on food justice and farmer advocacy, FLF believes that good food should be accessible to all and that farmers deserve living wages. The organization develops asset-based, data-driven solutions that are rooted in community needs, ensuring that resources and support are directed to those who grow our food.

Our Impact

FLF operates over 4 acres of urban farmland, dedicated to sustainably growing affordable local food for individuals across all income levels. The establishment of the Center for Food Justice and Healthy Communities serves as a vital policy, education, and research arm, furthering the mission of equity in the food system.
