Our Story
From the Garden to the Table (FGTT) is a community-based prevention program founded in 1996 by Jeffrey Smith. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to creating positive change in low-income communities, particularly communities of color, by addressing critical health issues such as asthma, heart disease, and diabetes. With a diverse team of experts in health education, cooking, and ecology, FGTT focuses on educating and providing access to healthy options, promoting sustainable living, and transforming unhealthy lifestyle patterns into life-sustaining habits.
