Our Story

The Fritz Pollard Alliance Foundation was established to promote diversity and equality in job opportunities within the NFL. Named after Fritz Pollard, the league's first African American head coach, the foundation advocates for the representation of African American coaches and staff in NFL front offices and coaching positions.

Impact

Since its inception, the Fritz Pollard Alliance has successfully advocated for the hiring of 14 head coaches of color and 12 general managers of color in the NFL. The organization has been instrumental in the implementation of the Rooney Rule, which mandates that NFL teams interview minority candidates for key positions, significantly enhancing diversity in the league.
