Founded in the aftermath of the 2018 Camp Fire in Butte County, California, Friends United in Rescue Inc emerged from a small group of passionate women committed to reuniting lost pets with their families. After 18 months of dedicated rescue operations, the organization recognized the urgent need for a comprehensive cat rescue in the area. In 2020, Friends United in Rescue Inc established its base in Chico, CA, where it continues to save lives and support the community's feline population.
