Our Story

Friends of Wake County Animal Center is dedicated to enhancing the lives of animals and their human families in Wake County. Founded by a passionate group of volunteers in 2012, the organization has grown significantly since becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2016. Through community engagement and awareness, FWCAC strives to make a difference for shelter animals.
