Better Together Animal Alliance, formerly known as Panhandle Animal Shelter, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of dogs, cats, and the people who love them. This organization has transformed from a traditional shelter model to a community-focused approach, emphasizing the importance of keeping families together and providing essential support for pet owners.

Impact

In 2019, Better Together Animal Alliance served over 8,400 animals, with only 2,500 entering the shelter. The organization has quadrupled the number of animals assisted in just five years, reduced the length of stay for animals in the shelter by 77%, and decreased owner surrenders by 33%. Their innovative Home To Home program is now utilized by 51 shelters across North America.
