Established in 1972, the Friends of the Scituate Town Library is dedicated to enhancing the library's role as a cultural and educational hub for the Scituate community. Following the consolidation of two libraries in 1978 and the opening of a new facility in 2017, the Friends have successfully managed a permanent used bookstore, raising vital funds to support library initiatives.
