About Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries
The Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries began as a grassroots initiative by local community members in 1979. Over the years, this organization has grown to over 500 members, dedicated to advocating for and supporting the Santa Cruz Public Library System.
Impact on the Community
Since 2016, nine of the ten Santa Cruz Public Library branches have been renovated or rebuilt, thanks to Measure S tax dollars and the Friends’ Realizing the Promise campaign, which has raised over a million dollars.
