The Friends of the Mines of Spain is dedicated to preserving and promoting the Mines of Spain Recreation Area and the E.B. Lyons Interpretive and Nature Center. Established to support the development of this unique area, the organization honors the legacy of Edwin B. Lyons and the rich history of Julien Dubuque and the Mesquakie tribe.
