Our Story

Founded in 1957, Friends of the Library of Collier County was established to create a free public library system. Through dedicated efforts, the organization has played a pivotal role in developing the Collier County Public Library System, which now includes three large regional libraries and seven smaller branches.

With a strong commitment to the community, Friends of the Library has raised significant funds for enhancements, including $200,000 for e-books and $657,000 for various programs, ensuring access to vital educational resources.
