Founded in 2015, Friends of the Greenhouse Inc. is dedicated to assisting the City of Schenectady and Cornell Cooperative Extension in the preservation and enhancement of the Sustainable Living Center. This initiative focuses on maintaining the historic Charles Steinmetz Greenhouse while providing valuable resources for local residents.

Impact of Our Work

FOGH has successfully replaced over 30 glass panels in the greenhouses, allowing for educational programs and community initiatives like the Roots and Wisdom’s Harvest Share Program to thrive.
