FRIENDS OF THE DES PLAINES PUBLIC LIBRARY

Part III Line 1: Primary exempt purpose (mission statement). The mission of the Friends of the Des Plaines Public Library is to stimulate public interest in the library, promote literacy, lifelong learning and the love of reading for all residents of Des Plaines, IL. It is also to support the activities of the DPPL designed to develop new library services or facilities, to provide ancillary financial support for projects deemed desirable by DPPL board and FDPPL not normally available thru lib conventional budget provisions. Programs benefit city of DP community. Programs are for young children to seniors and include reading, lectures, music and arts.
