Our Story
Friends of the Children was founded in 1993 by Duncan and Cindy Campbell in Portland, Oregon, to provide mentorship to children facing systemic challenges. Starting with just three mentors and 24 children, the organization has expanded to serve thousands across the nation, including a new chapter in Southwest Washington.
Impact
With a remarkable 92% of youth enrolling in post-secondary education, 83% earning a high school diploma or GED, and 93% remaining free from juvenile justice involvement, Friends of the Children is transforming lives and communities.
