Our Story
Founded in 2009, Friends of the Animal Shelter Inc (FOTAS) addresses the stray animal crisis in Aiken County. Through fostering, adoption, and community outreach, FOTAS collaborates with the Aiken County Animal Shelter to save animals and promote responsible pet ownership.
Impact
Since its inception, FOTAS has saved over 39,744 dogs and cats and organized spay/neuter surgeries for 9,622 community cats from 2016 to 2023.
