About Friends of the Animal Shelter
Friends of the Animals (FOTAS) was established in 1991 to support the Jackson County Animal Shelter. By providing dedicated volunteers, FOTAS helps animals find loving homes faster and enhances their quality of life while they wait for adoption. The organization has expanded its mission to reduce the number of animals entering shelters through spay/neuter programs, fostering initiatives, and partnerships with other rescue organizations.
Impact on the Community
Since its inception, FOTAS has donated over $347,000 for medical expenses, facilitated the adoption of over 500 cats, and completed 533 spay/neuter surgeries, significantly benefiting the local animal population.
Why Donate?
Your contributions to FOTAS directly support the mission to improve the lives of animals in Southern Oregon. Donations fund essential programs like spay/neuter grants, adoption events, and training for pets, making a tangible difference in the community.
