Transforming the Sears Sunken Garden

Established in 1907, the Sears Sunken Garden served as a serene retreat for employees of Sears, Roebuck and Co. Today, this Chicago Historic Landmark is on a journey of revitalization led by the Friends of Sears Sunken Garden (FSSG). In 2018, the North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council identified the need for repair and maintenance of this cherished outdoor space, paving the way for FSSG's formation in 2021.
