About SCRAP

Founded in 1976 in San Francisco, SCRAP is a 501(c)(3) arts education nonprofit and creative reuse center. It operates at the intersection of arts, education, and environmental sustainability, making art-making accessible to everyone. By transforming everyday materials into creative projects, SCRAP fuels the human spirit and fosters community vibrancy.

Impact

Each year, SCRAP serves over 900 K-12 students through afterschool arts enrichment programs, bringing 10 talented teaching artists into schools for 30 weeks.
