Our Story

Since 1971, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center has been a sanctuary for environmental education, rooted in a rich history of conservation. Originally inhabited by American Indian people and later by European immigrants, this land was donated to the National Audubon Society and has been locally managed to focus on conservation and education.
