Our Story
Founded in 1981 by Greta Pollard and Janet Pirkey, Friends of Nursing began as a scholarship support group for the University of Denver's nursing program. After the program's phase-out, it evolved to support nursing students across Colorado, dedicated to advancing professional nursing through scholarship support.
Impact
In 2024, Friends of Nursing awarded $100,000 to 30 students from nine Colorado nursing programs, showcasing a strong commitment to nurturing the next generation of nurses.
