Friends of Newport Beach Animal Shelter was established to enhance the care of lost, stray, and injured animals in Newport Beach. This nonprofit emerged from a collaboration with the Newport Beach Police Department's Animal Control Division, leading to the successful acquisition of a permanent shelter location.
FONBAS has significantly increased board membership and engaged in numerous outreach events, providing essential funds for medical care and equipment for animals in need. The completion of a new state-of-the-art shelter has greatly improved the capacity to care for these animals.
