Our Story

Friends of Madison County Parks and Trails (FMCPT) began as a vision in 2009, sparked by a conversation between Wayne Roberts and Van Viney. After years of planning, the construction of a welcoming area on the east side of London commenced in 2019. This project transformed an old factory site into a vibrant trail highlight, thanks to the dedication of local volunteers who contributed countless hours of effort.

Impact

FMCPT has made significant strides in improving accessibility for MATCO clients and employees, providing them with much-needed handicapped-friendly trail access. The organization has also established a beautiful native plants garden and several pollinator zones, fostering community engagement and environmental conservation.

Why Donate?

Your generous donation, which is tax-deductible, can help FMCPT complete its volunteer efforts. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings the organization closer to finishing the final phase of the trail through London.
