Our Story

The Friends of Lake Sonoma was established in June 1991, evolving from community efforts to support the construction of the Warm Springs Dam. This organization is dedicated to enhancing the interpretive and educational programs managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Sonoma, the largest freshwater recreational area in the North Bay.

Our Impact

Lake Sonoma provides flood control and water supply for over 600,000 people, contributing nearly $12 million annually to the local economy.
