Our Story
The journey of Friends of Kenyan Orphans began with Bud and Sue Ozar, who dedicated their lives to humanitarian work in Kenya. In 2006, they volunteered in Kenya, where Bud worked in the diocese and Sue taught English at a school for orphaned boys. Witnessing the struggles of orphaned girls, they returned to Michigan and raised funds to establish St. Clare’s School for Girls in 2009. Since then, the organization has expanded its efforts to provide education and support to vulnerable children in Kenya.
