Our Story

The Friends of Johnston, Inc. is dedicated to the preservation and sustainable reuse of the estate of Archibald Johnston, the first Mayor of Bethlehem. This charitable nonprofit emerged from the efforts of student volunteers who replanted trees in the Archibald Johnston Conservation Area and later saved Camel's Hump Farm, transforming it into a community center for nature education and wellness.

Impact

Through dedicated efforts, the Friends of Johnston has preserved a 300-year-old farm, creating a nature education center and community garden that fosters educational programs and community engagement.
