About Friends of Jane's Carousel

Jane's Carousel, built in 1922 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company, was meticulously restored by Jane and David Walentas after its purchase in 1984. This classic carousel features 48 beautifully carved horses and two stunning chariots, originally housed in Idora Park, Youngstown, Ohio. It was fully restored and opened to the public in Brooklyn Bridge Park on September 16, 2011.
