Inspiring Hope Through Sports

In 2004, nine-year-old Jaclyn Murphy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Through a series of fortunate events, she became an honorary member of a collegiate lacrosse team, inspiring the players with her strength and joy for life. This connection led to a perfect season and the team’s first NCAA national championship in 64 years. In 2005, motivated by Jaclyn's dream to help other sick children, the Murphy family established the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation.

Making a Difference

Since its inception, Friends of Jaclyn has positively impacted the lives of over 950 families facing pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers.
