Our Story

The International Institute of Wisconsin has a rich history, beginning as a branch of the Young Women’s Christian Association in the early 20th century. From humble beginnings with just three staff members, it has grown into a vital organization that employs 17 dedicated individuals. This nonprofit focuses on providing essential immigration and social services, refugee resettlement, educational support, and interpretation services to newcomers in Milwaukee.
