In the early 1980s, a dedicated group of volunteers recognized the urgent need for hospice services in southwest Washington. This led to the establishment of Friends of Hospice Southwest Washington in 1984, dedicated to raising funds for hospice and palliative care patients.

Through tireless fundraising efforts, Friends of Hospice has contributed over $168,284.92 to local hospice organizations, providing critical support to patients and their families during their most challenging times.
