Our Story

Founded in 1989 by returned Peace Corps Volunteers, Friends of Guatemala fosters cooperation and goodwill between the peoples of Guatemala and the United States. With a primary focus on education, FOG connects former volunteers with their Guatemalan friends and colleagues, creating a lasting impact in the community.

Impact

FOG funds scholarships for middle school students, enabling hundreds of young Guatemalans to continue their education. Many scholarship recipients are the first in their families to complete their education, paving the way for future generations.
