Our Story
Established in 1934, Grandmothers' Garden was created as a living memorial to Albert Steiger's mother, Grandmother Steiger. This beautiful garden, designed by renowned landscape architects, was built through community donations and volunteer efforts. In 1994, the Friends of Grandmothers' Garden was formed to ensure its ongoing restoration and maintenance, receiving a 75-year lease from the city in 1995.
