The Friends of Fort Laurens Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to the educational and historic preservation of Fort Laurens in Ohio. Established in 1994, this IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit was born from a passion for history and a commitment to reconstructing the fort, a project mandated by legislation in 1915. After 28 years of dedicated fundraising, plans to reconstruct Fort Laurens by America’s 250th birthday in 2026 were announced in 2022.
With thousands of volunteer hours and nearly $160,000 raised, the Friends of Fort Laurens Foundation showcases a strong commitment to preserving Ohio's rich history through archaeological explorations and educational initiatives.
